Each of the churches has its own page and perhaps also links to other resources. The Pocklington Church diary lists regular and one-off meetings and events in the church building.

The Special Services page provides information that will help you to prepare for Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals.

The Pocklington Group of Churches is supported by a large and active Ministry Team whose members provide a regular pattern of services in every church.

The Pocklington Church Magazine is published monthly and is available in print and on this website. Similarly, The Link, printed and circulated every two months, provides church and community news to the eight villages. Back copies of both publications are available to download.

Welcome!

We are the Combined Benefices of Pocklington Wold and Londesborough Wold in the East Riding of Yorkshire and within the Diocese of York. You can be sure of a very warm welcome in all of the nine churches in our group.

Pocklington is the largest settlement and, at this time, growing quickly in size. This ancient market town will soon exceed 10,000 inhabitants. Recent archaeological finds confirm that this was an important site in the Iron Age and Roman times.

All Saints Pocklington has ancient roots and is a hub of activity for the local and wider community. Its recent Flower Festival, commemorating the end of the First World War, was an unbridled success and drew over 3,000 visitors in the space of four days.

The eight village churches also are important centres for meeting and worship. They are set in, or at the foot of, The Yorkshire Wolds. This stunning countryside is a much loved and well kept secret; David Hockney has been known to set up his easel nearby.
